Commencement 2015

This speech is seminal and right on and was given at a prestigious small college about 40 miles from my house. Thanks Lauren for sharing it. Enjoy and Be Free of Speech !

Blue Star Owl

I graduated on Friday with my M.A. in English Literature. I did this degree full time over the last two years as I worked full time. I graduated with a 4.0, which was an act of humongous will and stubbornness.

I am very proud of my degree. I wrote my thesis on the witch Erichtho and passed my defense with distinction. Hopefully in the future I can continue the little scholarship on this very interesting Greek witch and contribute to the witchcraft discourse in an academic way.

At graduation, I was confronted with an invocation by a Catholic priest who ignored every non Christian (well really, every non Catholic) in the room. It was uncomfortable. I thought it was in poor taste from a university that celebrates diversity.

Our speakers were decent enough, they had some interesting things to say, but nothing that truly moved and inspired me.

Today, Neil…

Northern Ireland Certifies Its First Pagan Priest Since Time of St. Patrick

MG – great news and about time. Sounds like my fight in this county in PA to have the right to marry and thus to be recognized as legal clergy, which there are long posts of the timeline fight on my blog. Great pics and links also. Going to reblog so TY and Blessed Be ! BTW TWH posted on this also http://wildhunt.org/2015/04/northern-ireland-approves-first-pagan-priest-in-modern-times.html and you may find this Finland pagan news story of interest too http://wildhunt.org/2015/04/paganism-and-heathenry-in-the-republic-of-finland.html

I truly believe the Gods have a since of humor. For the first time in centuries, Northern Ireland has allowed Patrick Carberry, a shamanic healer and a pagan priest to be certified by authorities. It was a man by the name of “Patrick” who was famous for bringing Ireland under the Christian fold (even though there were Christian missionaries in Ireland before St. Patrick) and now it is another “Patrick” who is paving the way for the ancient religion to reclaim official recognition. Ironic? Is it not?

Patrick Carberry, who is based in Glengormley, applied to Stormont five months ago to be certified as a holy man. Officials have finally got back to him with the news that he can now carry out religious ceremonies for people who follow Irish pre-Christian religions.

Patrick has been attacked in the past for his beliefs. It is his hope that…

“Gazing Through the Doors of Perception – Reactor No4” – VR Video from The Dance of Life Blog

Here is an Incredible film you have made on a maddening subject. I cannot reblog it but the link is http://celestialelfdanceoflife.blogspot.com/2015/03/reactor-no4.html and i am embedding the YT video below.

I live within 30 miles of Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania USA and when that almost melted down many people including my family fled north upwind. I worked in the hospital so felt the responsibility to remain in the area. Luckily it did not explode and melt down but we dodged a bullet for sure.

I still ring a Shinto bell once a week to the victims of Fukashima., a disaster much worse than the government will admit.

There is this Big fusion reactor that heats the whole earth called the Sun and it is only because you can’t put a meter on it that the powers that be do not pursue solar technology more aggressively. Hopefully in my lifetime i will see major changes, but that depends on we the voters who supposedly set policy in this country.

Blessings to you all.

Ways that Modern People Have Overlooked Warrior Women as Historical Fact

Great blog post MG, and i love the links especially to that Tumblr site which i am going to start following. I also found your previous post on guns i will review also. Two of the Priestesses in our Coven are definitely lethal and i would Never want to get into a fight with them for sure as they usually carry knives but also know that Anything around you can be a weapon, and you yourself in one’s mind/body are the ultimate weapon even without knives and guns etc. Reblogging so TY. Live long. Fight hard. Blessings.

gladiatorwoman

(Historians have assumed this woman was holding a cleaning tool – um she looks more like she’s ready to cut someone’s head off with that thing than polish the floor.)

READ ARTICLE FROM CRACKED.COM

Cracked isn’t always the most accurate place for news, but the article I posted above makes some good points.

In modern depictions of the past, such as a TV series like Spartacus, we are shown an image of muscular slave men battling each other to death in the gladiatorial arena, while a woman’s maximum participation is cheering from the sidelines or later rewarding one of the gladiators with a blow job.

However, the truth is that female gladiators were quite common in Rome. There were many graves of decorated gladiators that historians assumed to be male, only to be surprised when the bone analysis revealed these warriors to be women – as if the woman just…

Here is a Great article on Treating Depression in a Pagan Context written by Terence P Ward for The Wild Hunt blog. I for one did not realize Rev. Dr. Selena Fox was a clinical psychologist, and there is input from her and links to many many other writers, counselors and sites i have yet to explore. I trust you will benefit from this article as much as i am. I tried to comment at the blog but comments are closed. Enjoy and be spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically healthy this long cold winter.

1 January 2015 – Transcending and Hiving off from the Coven of the Catta

Coven of the Catta

sealphoto_10
12-16-nov-2014-36

A quick 1 January 2015 post. I am hiving off, or rather transcending my coven lineage into the

Blau Stern Schwarz Schlange Hexenzirkel (in German)

Coven de la Colouve Noire (in French)

Blue Star Black Snake Coven (in English)

The Coven of he Catta will continue as long as Lady Alsace and Magister Shawnus are alive. We remain elders in the COC. If one of the third degrees in that area of northern PA decides to continue the COC lineage they will inherit that title of HPT/HPS of the COC.

But i am starting a new branch of this coven, much more complex, much more inclusive of various eastern, western, gnostic, and primate shamanic  lineages, just like Dr Frederick LaMotte Santee aka Merlin did in his day.

I realize this is a coven of one, just me in my UPG, but we shall see where it goes in 2015 and…

2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 60,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 22 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

I cannot reblog this directly, only add this link to a post on The Wild Hunt blog entitled Book Review – This Should Change Us. The writing on how Capitalism treats the Earth as one big Buffet to eat from without knowing or caring about the consequences is most blunt here. Blessings to our Mother Earth.
