“The Wizard” by Uriah Heep – a friend who know Ole Doc Santee says the song reminds him of him

A Friend of the Coven of the Catta who knew and spent lots of time with the late Dr Frederick LaMotte Santee told me this song remind him of him. I missed him by just one year, and would have loved to sit around with a glass of sherry picking his brain and mind, maybe next life…..Yea i am having a few “flashbacks” too, LOL. Enjoy.

  1. Uriah Heep were my favourite group in my mid teens. I still have all the albums on disc and virtually know all the tracks off by heart. Memories!

    • Yea i was a hard rocker, back in the day as they say, more of a Rolling Stones than Beatles type if one can draw a line though i liked some of both, anything with a good lead and base guitar moreso than a good singer. I posted post-Oz Heaven and Hell the other day and still have it in my head, just download the lyrics at http://www.lyricsmania.com/ which seems the best site to find lyrics according to my hard rock blogger Metal Gaia http://metal-gaia.com/ she being both a pagan, environmentalist and metal rocker. Sometimes she posts really hard stuff where i cannot make out the words n that lyrics site is where she sends me to and now she puts in the lyrics for old fogies like me and you, LOL. They say if you remember the 60s then you weren’t there, lol. i graduated HS in 1971 so missed some of it being a post-hippie era type culturally and musically, the glam long hair bands…..

  2. Yes, we’re from the same era for sure, I graduated from HS in 1972 so only a year apart! I’ll check out the web sites lyrics mania and metal gaia, they sound interesting and also, I wanted to see if you knew about this site: http://archaeotube.blogspot.co.uk/ it was tweeted by ArchaeoNewsNet, it looks good.
It’s great to share similar memories and I remember them as really good times, I met some interesting people!
    Take care Lee.
