Call Jesus (or Santa) white? Expect a big fight

Santa and Jesus are White – And don’t you forget it! – According to Fox News. I Don Lemmon on CNN laughing when he saw this. Santa’s Christian roots are from St. Nicholas, who lived in Turkey. Jesus was from Palestine. I can assure you neither of them were white. LOL.

(CNN) — Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly sparked outrage this week by insisting that Jesus and Santa Claus are both white, saying it’s “ridiculous” to argue that depicting Christ and St. Nick as Caucasian is “racist.”

“And by the way, for all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white,” Kelly said, “but this person is arguing that we should also have a black Santa.”

Kelly was responding to an article in Slate that said St. Nick needs a makeover from fat, old white guy to something less “melanin-deficient.”

The Fox News host would have none of it.

“Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean it has to change,” Kelly said. “Jesus was a white man, too. It’s like we have, he’s a historical figure; that’s a verifiable fact. As is Santa, I just want kids to know…

  1. I thought Coke Cola invented the fat jolly white Santa image? And I thought St Nick was Turkish (although the article says Greek)?

    • No Santa goes back to the 1800s and Coke just took over the image. Back in the days of St Nick Turkey was part of what would be considered Greek culture if i remember right. Either way neither is white, lol. But Santa can also be traced back probably to Odin in Nordic lore, so he is white there.
