Elves, Ghosts, Sea Monsters & ETs In Iceland – Investigation Into The Invisible World

About a quarter the way through this film my thought was “whatever these people are smoking, i would like to have some” lol. And then i was thinking “just how many clairvoyants are in the yellow pages in Iceland”? In the end i like this documentary, especially the filmography and editing. There is something about the primal nature of Iceland for sure, and it does seem the windows between the world are pretty clear there. The video is about 1.5 hours long and is in Icelandic with English subtitles, It is very evocative in its stark imagery. Thanks Karmapolice for posting this.

GOTOS on Acid

GOTOS – Egregore of the Fraternitas Saturni

The Fraternitas Saturni is a very dark and interesting German occult group which has been around for awhile. The first link is their Wiki profile and this second link for the Fraternitas Saturni is to their official German website. Their history is tied in to that of Aleister Crowley. I found this video on YT and find it very interesting and strange, which is why i call it GOTOS on Acid. If you do not know who GOTOS is then please read these links before watching the video. I admit i do not understand German so i am not sure what the man at the end is talking about, but the whole thing seems very tongue in cheek. Here is what the YT commentary on this video says:

n 1926, the Fraternitas Saturni (Brotherhood of Saturn) founded by Eugen Grosche (Gregor A Gregorius) became the second order founded upon the Law of Thelema. Within this German fraternity, the opinion prevails that the magical influence of the New Aeon demands the permanent adaption of Aleister Crowley’s teachings to the latest developments. As a consequence, the rituals of Saturn turned into a peculiar mixture of medieval magic, astrology, and a small admixture of Thelema. Albin Grau should have been appointed as first Grand Master of the F.S. He worked in films, collaborating as script-writer, costume-designer, and set-designer for UFA productions on films such as “Dr. Mabuse”, “Vampire”, and “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”. In the credits of F.W. Murnau’s film “Nosferatu” (1922), “Alwin Grau” is mentioned as being responsible for the sets.

Bone Collecting – Cleansing & Consecration – from The Witch of Forest Grove blog

Sarah Lawless at The Witch of Forest Grove blog has just posted this excellent article on Bone Collecting – Cleansing & Consecration. IF – by Rudyard Kipling

I found this poem IF by Rudyard Kipling while surfing today, and i like it. Yes i know some may be offended by the “British stiff upper lip” mood of the poems, but sometimes one needs to keep a stiff upper lip so to speak. Enjoy.

IF – by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Kobolds and Cobalt Glass

I was just finishing up Kenny Klein’s excellent book Through The Faerie Glass: A Look at the Realm of Unseen and Enchanted Beings

I was reading about the legends and magickes regarding the German Kobald gnomes and how they we worked with as house spirits. I find it interesting how they are connected with the element cobalt which is used to make that beautiful blue cobalt glass which i love.

What’s even more interesting is how cobalt is connected with vitamin B-12 which is essential to many parts of a well working neurological system. I had such a deficiency having been a  vegetarian most of my life and had to take shots and now oral B-12 daily, and still wonder if that might have led to my Meige’s syndrome? So i will have to work with the Kobald and Cobalt to see what happens.

Here are some Kobald pics from the www, Enjoy!

Stangs Besoms and Wands

Well all those pieces of wood i cut last fall, and dried all winter, and carved all spring, are now stangs, besoms and wands. I have given away most of them already, but these are the cream of the crop. They are of hornbeam, Harry Lauder Walking stick (i cut those a couple years ago), walnut, beech and sumac.

Ani Choying Drolma – Beautiful Mantra Chanting

I found this video on the Karmapolice blog yesterday.

Ani Choying Drolma does some beautiful mantra chanting and the cinematography is beautiful also. Here is her official website.

According to YT –

Ani Choying Drolma (Also pronounced as dol-ma), born to Tibetan exiles in 1971 in Nepal. Her parents had fled the Cultural Revolution in 1959.
At age 13, Ani choying entered Nagi Gompa on Shivapuri, a Buddhist nunnery on the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. The abbot of Nagi Gompa, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, an honored teacher of non-conceptual meditation, looked after Ani Choying’s development and taught her to sing traditional Tibetan Cho chant.
Ani Choying Drolma is an exceptional singer, admired by fans in Nepal and throughout the world. People are moved to tears by the plaintive purity of her voice, and the haunting melodies of her ancient songs and hymes, passed from master to pupil for many centuries.
For a number of years, the monastery’s resident chant master (who was trained directly by the wife of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche) taught Ani Choying the music that she is famous for performing.
In 1994, guitarist Steve Tibbetts visited the nunnery and eventually recorded much of the Tibetan music with Ani Choying on two albums. The recordings, titled Chö and Selwa, were released to critical acclaim. Tibbetts and Ani Choying embarked on small performance tours, which included shows at several historical Tibetan monasteries.
Sina Vodjani recorded an album in collaboration with Ani Choying Drolma.
Ani Choying Dolma is part of a fairly large group of musicians in the Tibetan tradition now active outside Tibet, including singer Techung, singer Karjam Saeji, singer Phurbu T Namgyal, flautist Nawang Khechog, singer Amchok Gompo Dhondup, singer Yungchen Lhamo and Jewish-American Tibetan-genre performer Amalia Rubin.

Between the first and second video i have also pasted some of the comments on YT that gives the mantra and some of the meaning, in no particular order as it is an amalgamation. I can’t get the chanting out of my head, which is a good thing. Enjoy.

Coven of the Catta Mid-Summer Solstice

The circle was made of corn around the standing stones of what i call Snakehenge. No metals were used in the ritual to be in harmony with the fey of the forest. The wood wand and besom were used to cast the circle. Copal incense was burned to the Sun. Yellow Lemon Balm elixir and a round yellow Ritz cracker representing were the sacraments to represent the sun again. I am sure the crows and squirrels will enjoy this corn circle tomorrow! Blessed Mid-Summer Solstice, held a few day later than the calendar so all might attend.
